Hotel Continental Barcelona was the ideal choice for our romantic escape. the location, near La Rambla and Plaza Catalunya, was perfect for exploring the city's historic sites. the 24-hour buffet and drinks availability, along with the cozy terrace, added to our delightful experience. Anna, the Reception Hostess, went above and beyond to assist us with any request, enhancing the hospitality and exceptional service at the hotel. the historical significance of the property, hosting famous personalities like George Orwell, added a layer of charm to our visit. the elegant decor and attention to detail, like the original decorative fireplace from 1863, created a romantic and exclusive atmosphere that we loved. the blend of old-world style with modern amenities, such as air-conditioning, a mini-fridge, and a safe box in our room, provided a comfortable and luxurious retreat in the heart of Barcelona.
